DIALOGUES OF SOLITUDE

THESE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE AN INTIMATE COLLECTION OF SELF-PORTRAITS, REFLECTING UPON THE HUMAN CONDITION. AS A NON-LINEAR NARRATIVE, THEY COLLECTIVELY EXPLORE THE INTERIOR LANDSCAPE OF BEING. EACH IMAGE IS AN ANTHROPOLOGICAL RESPONSE TO THE INTERCONNECTION BETWEEN SPECIFIC EMOTIONS AND GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATIONS, THE OBSERVATION OF NATURE AND ETHNOLOGY; A DIALOGUE BETWEEN SOLITUDE AND THE MENTAL DISPOSITION. THIS COLLECTION IS AN INVESTIGATIVE EXPLORATION AND AN INSIGHT INTO THE RITUALISTIC PROCESS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL DISCOVERY. EACH IMAGE ILLUSTRATES THE COMPELLING DESIRE TO EXPLORE THE LIMITS OF ‘SELF’, TO INVESTIGATE THE AMBIGUITY OF PERSONAL IDENTITY AND THE LIMITS OF INDIVIDUAL REPRESENTATION.

‘DIALOGUES OF SOLITUDE’ BECOMES AN ENDLESS POEM OF CONCEALMENT AND EXPOSURE, OF IMPULSE AND DESIRE, ABSENCE AND GRIEF. THE CAMERA BECOMES THE ALLEGORICAL MIRROR, HIGHLIGHTING THE TRANSCENDENTAL STATES OF THE PSYCHE AND WOMANHOOD, DOCUMENTING THE WORLD THAT EXISTS BETWEEN A QUESTION AND AN ANSWER.
